In this event, we will discuss the shift of 4G to 5G and how this will affect various industries such as FinTech, Healthcare and Telecom.
The race for the next-generation telecommunication technology – 5G wireless network has been aggressive these few years with many major players expecting to roll out this service by 2020. 5G will be a great enabler in the hyper-connected world, opening numerous opportunities to many enterprises, and at the same time bringing disruption to industries from Telecom to Healthcare.
With the adoption of 5G, there is a need to analyse the impact on data management and analytics practices. Enterprises need to rethink their data management practices and optimise the use of the ever-expanding sea of data. In this event, we will discuss the shift of 4G to 5G and how this will affect various industries such as FinTech, Healthcare and Telecom. Also, we will explore ways on how to prepare companies for the 5G era.
Speakers include an expert representing a Singapore-based data analytics company with patented technology that helped multiple Tier 1 to Tier 3 Telecom operators save a total of USD 360 million to date since 2014.

Mr. Anurag Srivasav, Head of Tech, SGM Analytics
Anurag has more than 24 years of experience in Telecom industry handling various technical and managerial responsibilities. He used to work in Alcatel Lucent (now Nokia) and has taken up various roles such as heading cross-continental teams and managing full client lifecycle including conceptionalising product and feature, gathering requirements, and developing and implementing solutions. He has strong expertise in distributed and fault tolerant system in Telecom leading to NPV and cloud systems, as well as big data analytics system specialised on Telecom systems.
Mr. Martin Chin, Country Manager (Taiwan), BlackStorm Consulting
Martin is a strategist and startup addictive. As a Malaysian who spends 8 years in Southeast Asia and 4 years in Taiwan, Martin is able to tap on his years of experience in both corporate and startup space to help clienteles in areas such as finance, business and operations management.
Prior to joining BlackStorm Consulting, Martin served as a Chief Strategy Officer at a Malaysia-based BioTech startup and was also the Regional Director in an Information Security company in Taiwan that takes care of Southeast Asia region. Having experienced the startup wave in Singapore – particularly Block71, Martin believes in creating new ventures that disrupt the norms. In 2019, Martin was also awarded the “100 Most Influential Young Entrepreneurs 2019 Malaysia.”
