【Media】2021 A2T startup SCIBERIA became one of the winners of the “Best IT Solution for Healthcare 2021” competition

A participant of A2T program, tech startup SCIBERIA became one of the winners of the “Best IT Solution for Healthcare 2021” competition at the annual international Congress “Information technologies in medicine”, which was held on October 14-15 in Moscow (Russia).

The congress participants were more than 30 international developers of medical information systems and software, and hardware complexes.

SCIBERIA’s stand at the Congress exhibition aroused great interest of the professional public.

“Participation in such kind of exhibitions gives us the opportunity to declare ourselves, learn the latest developments, get acquainted with market participants, exchange expert opinions, and all these experiences became a driver of further development for us,” said Afanasy Argunov, CTO of SCIBERIA LLC.

The goal of the SCIBERIA’s project is to create a cloud service for computed tomography (CT) of the chest and head. The essence of the innovation is to create a medical decisions’ support system for medical CT images’ analysis using artificial intelligence.

In 2019, SCIBERIA developed methods medical images analysis using computer vision and machine learning technologies. It makes possible to automate the processes of recognizing various pathologies. As a result, it got software designed for doctors as a clinical decision support tool. It helps doctors make more precise diagnostic, save time and reduce routine.

In 2020, the development was successfully implemented for COVID-19 viral pneumonia screening in Russian hospitals. So, in April 2020, SCIBERIA started to work on the installation and configuration of a screening system for viral pneumonia COVID-19 on X-ray computed tomography studies of the chest organs at the resources of the Yakut city hospital No. 3.

The use of our development allows not only to increase the efficiency of the healthcare system and the quality of services, but also allows to reduce the financial costs on providing high-quality and timeous diagnostics to the population. Its programs’ complex allows the doctor to carry out more precise diagnostics:

  • FAST – using machine learning, artificial intelligence technologies and innovative image processing algorithms,
  • SIMPLE – using convenient tools for the doctor’s work,
  • STRICT – using standardized processes and documentation.

In 2021, Sciberia applied the software for ischemic and hemorrhage brain strokes. Ischemic stroke is one of the most common causes of death and disability. Our diagnostic modules allow drastically reduce diagnostics time and make thrombolytic therapy timely.
