MOST Integrated Cross-campus Accelerator Network Project ( 2016 - 2020 )

Project Introduction

With the goal to empower the R&D accomplishments of universities and research labs, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) entrusted IAPS to execute the iCAN project (Integrated Cross-campus Accelerator Network).

The iCAN project helps lab techs and young startups to accelerate their product/service launch and early stage growth by providing the critical resources needed for fundraising and market validation. We provide personalized mentorship by C-level executives of large corporates, financial health check-ups, corporate collaboration opportunities  and comprehensive business development strategy advice.

Research Service Centers ( 2020 - 2022)

Project Introduction

To enrich PhD programs and shorten distances between academic research and industry, the Ministry of Education launched RSC(Research Service Company) project in 2016 which aimed to create a new academic-industry collaboration model. The RSC project sponsors selected labs up to 6 million NTD per year for three years. Each lab should cooperate with enterprises on transferring research to products or services which have significant impacts. After three years these labs shall spin-off research service companies or spin-in PhD into enterprises new departments.

During studying in Australia, Jay focused on innovation and startup courses, after invited to by UniQuest to be the researcher of the investment program, he participated in investment evaluation and consulting of startup businesses. In 2014, Jay was awarded by the APICTA for advising marketing strategy for the oTHE Technology Inc. In addition to specializing in commercializing the achievement of scientific research, international marketing, and management of innovation and development, Jay also had the experience of startup and incubation advising.
