ASPN Sports Tech Accelerator #1st bach Orientation is around the corner!

Focused on the Asia-Pacific region, ASPN Sports Tech Accelerator, a new sports technology innovation accelerator program, will co-host with 2023 Sports Industry Expo on December 27th (Wed) at Warehouse 1 of the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park.

Commissioned by the Ministry of Education’s Sports Administration, the ASPN Sports Tech Accelerator, operated by National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Center of Industry Accelerator and Patent Strategy (IAPS), aims to cultivate innovation in sports technology in the Asia-Pacific region. The goal is to connect resources within the Asia-Pacific region’s official/industrial/academic/commercial sports technology sectors, thereby establishing an entirely new ecosystem for sports innovation in the Asia-Pacific region.

ASPN (APEC Sport Policy Network) is a platform under the APEC Human Resources Development Working Group, focusing on fostering international sports events and talent development in sports across the Asia-Pacific region. It aims to create a platform for member countries, including Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Australia, and Canada to exchange ideas and experiences. The ASPN Sports Tech Accelerator under ASPN will collaborate with international accelerators across the Asia-Pacific region like BlackStorm Consulting (Singapore), Startup GoGo (Japan), Beyond 4 (Malaysia), and QBO Innovation Hub (Philippines). They will expedite the nurturing process, providing the best pathway for sports technology innovation startups to enter the Asian market and Taiwan specifically!

This program will primarily recruit the startups which are interested in expanding into the Asia-Pacific market. The program spans nearly six months and includes a series of business practical courses, professional guidance, physical networking events, and industry matchmaking opportunities. The program will assist innovative startups in connecting with domestic and international experts, renowned international companies like Taiwan Decathlon, Taiwan Mobile, SportsNote (Running Biji), and a multitude of experts and instructors from Taiwan and the Asia-Pacific region within IAPS, offering specialized courses and business matchmaking in the sports-related official/industrial/academic/commercial domains, focusing on the Asia-Pacific market.
